Party Venue: Outback Steakhouse Libis

We took advantage of the Chinese New Year holiday and decided to do ocular of the places in Ortigas we were eyeing for Erin's birthday party. Our initial guest list count reached about 30 people, so at least we had that to start our inquiries with.

First off the list (and on the way), Outback Steakhouse. We have not dined here before, but we've heard good reviews about the food. Steak is steak. Mark, the manager on duty, was very accommodating and answered all our questions well.

Here are the party packages of Outback Steakhouse for a minimum of 20 persons:

Tips on Planning a Party

When you're strapped for time, it does not really help to have so much ideas running through your head. For the past couple of days, I have been scribbling lists of how we wanted to do the party. It took me a while to realize that I was not going to get anywhere if I did not have a clear road map of what we have to accomplish given the amount of time we have left.

I sat down and started listing down the bare essentials of the party we wanted. This is where one's ability to focus hard needs to work, because it's so easy to get distracted with all the pretty stuff available on the web. At this point, it's best to focus on the basics.

Planning a Birthday Party in less than a Month

If you came here looking for answers on how to pull that off, sorry, but you are at the wrong place. I am also just about to take on the challenge of planning my daughter’s first birthday in three weeks’ time. (insert collective gasp here)

This is something I should have done earlier, I know, but I put off planning a party last year because we were considering other things. Also, the start of the New Year brought about new challenges at home that were quite unexpected.

I will not go into the details of the whys and hows, but take this as a friendly advice: if you still have months to plan a party, DO IT. Do it now.

Otherwise, join me. Be warned: this kind of planning is not for the faint-hearted.
